Since 2004, we have taught many D/deaf & hard of hearing people who have joined us from around the world! Knowingly, we are the only liveaboard in the world that has continued to offer this service TIME AFTER TIME.

Communication
We use a wide range of communication methods to ensure that everyone can understand and participate; these being: BSL, ASL, lip-speaking, gestures and fingerspelling. We aim to accommodate everyone, whatever their communication needs are!
Please note, however, that all our trips will be a mix of D/deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people.

"Being a hearing person going on a Deaf/HoH diving trip, I thought I'd feel out of place. I couldn't have been further from the truth. Naomi was there to interpret all the key information and as her spoken English is fantastic it worked both ways. The group (guests and staff) mixed well and I really enjoyed signing again. In short: Great staff, great dives, great group. I would definitely go on a trip with WWDAS again. In fact, I am going again to the Andaman Islands! Can't wait... " |
