Several species of shark can be found patrolling the waters of Phi Phi and the Similans, and manta rays are a common sight, whilst whale sharks make an occasional appearance. There are plenty of smaller creatures too and divers will discover several types of anemone fish on each dive, different species of ghost pipefish and seahorses as well as a fantastic array of molluscs. Although most of the diving locations in the region are now well known there are plenty of new dive sites waiting to be explored.
